A Father Or Just Another Male

I have lived my whole life without my father. There has never been a chance that he was in my life for a consistent amount of time. He would drop by, blah blah.. then gone again. One summer I stayed at his house with my half brother Keefer & it was decent, but that was probably the longest I've ever spent time with him. In my mind, I have no father. That male who claims he's my father is just someone who gave my mother sperm to have me. I just can't seem to understand how you leave your child. Did you not care? Did you think that they would grow up the same way a child would if they had a father? I don't hate my father, but I don't respect him as a man.
